Sirens on the Mountain: Everything You Need to Know for the Festival This Weekend

Sirens on the Mountain Music and Art Festival is proud to present three-time Grammy nominee and five-time winner of the Koko Taylor Blues Award Ruthie Foster to the High Country Fairgrounds in Boone on June 18.

Sirens musical acts showcase a dynamic group of female artists: Chastity Brown, Melissa Reaves, Laura Blackley, Diane Durrett, and Megan Palmer.  An artisan village features renowned local vendors, craftswomen, and healing artists. Locally sourced food, beer, and wine will be for sale.

All are welcome at Sirens on the Mountain — all genders, ages, abilities, and orientations.

Proceeds benefit Mountain Mermaids Collective, a new nonprofit supporting a diverse, inclusive, and sustainable arts community in western North Carolina. Mountain Mermaids is hosting a silent auction and a used instrument donation drive at the festival. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free.  Music begins at 12:45pm and ends at 11 pm. Camping Saturday night is included with a general admission ticket, with a suggested donation of $10 to Mountain Mermaids.

Here’s an update from the folks behind Sirens on the Mountain for those who plan to attend:

Thank you to all those who will be joining us at Sirens on the Mountain!  As we recover from the shock and sadness that stems from the recent tragedy in Orlando, it feels even more crucial to share in the joy of music, happiness and light – to dance with our brothers and sisters and celebrate LIFE.  We have been working non-stop to prepare for your arrival, and can’t wait to open the gates and begin the festival.  As the big day approaches, we thought you should have some of the important information you will need at the ready, so here goes:
