Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, April 4 – 17

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

April 12

ARREST: A male suspect, 35, of 300 Bluebird Lane in Boone, was charged with FTA. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 13.

April 13

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 140 Barnes Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1360 Grady Winkler Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Obtaining property by false pretense was reported at 177 Rolling Hills Drive in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 38, of 2004 Groce Meadow Drive in Taylors, South Carolina, was charged with felony magistrate’s order for fugitive. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 58, of 271 Tom Jackson Road in Boone, was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon. He was held under a $20,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 43, of 3102 U.S. Highway 421 N in Boone, was charged with FTA. She was held under a $1,099 secured bond and will appear in court on May 17:

April 14

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 221 Cool Water Creek in Vilas.

ARREST: A male suspect, 52, of 270 I.J. Bingham Place Unit D in Boone, was charged with failure to pay child support. He was held under a $13,987 bond and will appear in court on April 24.

ARREST: A male suspect, 62, of 1132 Grady Winkler Road in Boone, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by felon and misdemeanor simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. He was held under a $30,000 secured bond.

ARREST: A female suspect, 26, of 11705 Shavenrock Place in Raleigh, was charged with DWI and will appear in court on May 16.

ARREST: A female suspect, 40, of 352 Old East King St. in Boone, was charged with school attendance law violation.

April 15

INCIDENT: Unattended death was reported at 272 Ridgewood Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Trespassing was reported at 211 Riverwood Lane in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 343 Curley Maple Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported at the intersection of Castle Ford and Clay Hodges roads in Boone.

April 16

INCIDENT: A runaway was reported at 1571 Little Laurel Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1033 Seven Oaks Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Flee to elude was reported at N.C. Highway 105 S and Sleepy Hollow in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: All traffic/flee to elude, DWI and assault on LEO were reported at 100 Chestnut Valley Drive in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 314 Hardaman Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Drug violations, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and DWI were reported on Old East King St. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Burglary – forcible entry was reported at 319 Linville Creek Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported on George Wilson Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 35, of 244 Devils Den Road in Banner Elk, was charged with flee to elude, NOL and OFA-FTA. He was held under a $16,500 secured bond and will appear in court on May 16.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 234 Camp Rock Road in Boone, was charged with felony flee to elude and misdemeanor DWI. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 183 Summer Drive in Boone, was charged with DWI and will appear in court on June 14.

April 17

INCIDENT: Possession of meth and DWLR were reported at 2849 Brownwood Road in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A female suspect, 30, of 112 Bluebonnet Lane in Boone, was charged with OFA-FTA. She was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 47, of 1893 Dick Phillips Road in West Jefferson, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor DWLR. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 16.

April 18

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1386 Sampson Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 251 Saddle Hills Road in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 4717 Castleford Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 32, of 106 Wade Moretz Road in Deep Gap, was charged with damage to real property and assault on a female and will appear in court on June 3.

ARREST: A female suspect, 70, of 691 Sherwood Road in Vilas, was charged with probation violations. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 31.

ARREST: A female suspect, 22, of 136 Ivy Drive in Boone, was charged with child support and will appear in court on May 17.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 244 Faculty St.

INCIDENT: Fraud as reported at 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 310 New Market Centre.

ARREST: A female suspect, 38, of 206 Sunburst Lane in Boone, was charged with DWI and will appear in court on May 16.

ARREST: A male suspect, 60, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with obstruct and delay and larceny – shoplifting. He was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on May 16.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 112 Dale Adams Road in Sugar Grove, was charged with speeding, no insurance, revoke tag, DWLR and possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. He was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on May 16.

ARREST: A female suspect, 19, of 118 Volunteer Drive in Elizabethton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a schedule III controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine. She was held under a $5,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 16.

April 5

INCIDENT: Fraud/obtaining a controlled substance by false pretense was reported at Boone Drug Deerfield.

INCIDENT: Defeat anti-theft security device and larceny – shoplifting were reported at 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1469 W. King St.

April 6

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at 175 Juniper Drive.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Watauga High School.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 555 Queen St. Apt. 4 in Boone, was charged with trespassing and will appear in court on May 16.

April 7

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 195 Green St.

INCIENT: Calls for service were reported at The Local, 179 Howard St.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Mountaineer Village, 386 Yosef Drive Apt. H.

INCIDENT: Non-criminal detainment/involuntary commitment was reported at 105 Oak Grove Road Apt. 28.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 116 Howard St. #110.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 374 Industrial Park Drive.

INCIDENT: Possession of marijuana paraphernalia, shoplifting concealment of goods and simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance were reported at Advance Auto Parts, 1335 U.S. Highway 421 S.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at Baymont Inn, 1075 N.C. Highway 105 Room 308.

INCIDENT: Felony breaking and entering a building was reported at Bubbles Car Wash, 2890 N.C. Highway 105.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 2706 Fairway Acres in Lenoir, was charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and shoplifting concealment of goods and will appear in court on May 18.

ARREST: A female suspect, 32, of 6717 Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap, was charged with communicating threats and will appear in court on May 14.
ARREST: A male suspect, 51, of West Haven Apartments 1417 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass, was charged with concealment of goods.

April 9

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 14959 Alexander Place Drive in Huntersville, was charged with failure to stop at a red light and DWI and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 32, of 116 Old Dairy Farm Road in Banner Elk, was charged with larceny, breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. She was held under a $5,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 16.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 4801 Penn Wyne Drive in Greensboro, was charged with fictitious tag, carrying concealed weapon, possession of paraphernalia, left of center and DWI and will appear in court on May 16.

ARREST: A suspect, 18, of 1148 Walton Place in Salisbury, was charged with driving after consuming under the age of 21, left of center and DWI and will appear in court on June 14.

April 10

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 10741 Flowes Store Road in Midland, was charged with expired registration plate and DWI.

ARREST: A male suspect, 44, of 1185 W Mountain View Road Apt. 3406 in Johnson City, was charged with exceeding a posted speed limit, registration light and DWI and will appear in court on May 18.

April 11

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at Watauga High School.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 141 Health Center Drive.

ARREST: A suspect, 36, of 345 Howards Knob Road in Boone, was charge with DWI and will appear in court on June 17.

April 12

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 641 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Shoplifting was reported at Earth Fare, 178 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Embezzlement was reported at Graystone Eye, 150 Market Hills Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 18, of 211 Cranberry Creek in Zionville, was charged with simple physical assault and will appear in court on June 14.

April 13

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 143 Herring Loop Apt. 102.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 348 Dove Circle in Boone, was charged with DWI and will appear in court on May 16.

ARREST: A female suspect, 43, of 188 Herring Loop Apt. 206 in Boone, was charged with school attendance law violation and will appear in court on May 18.

April 14

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 1236 Niley Cook Road.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female and simple assault were reported at 204 Furman Road Apt. 21.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 188 Hardin St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 886 Elderberry Road Apt. 8 in Banner Elk, was charged with possess with intent to distribute marijuana, manufacture marijuana and sell of marijuana. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

April 15

INCIDENT: Assault was reported on the N.C. Highway 105 extension.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 115 Rogers Drive # 10.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 1052 Fred Pugh Road in Crumpler, was charged with larceny. He was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

April 17

INCIDENT: Assault inflicting serious injury was reported at 150 S Water St.

INCIDENT: Unknown medical call was made to 338 Brook Hollow Road.

INCIDENT: Damage to personal property was reported at 702 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A female suspect, 29, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with larceny. She was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on May 16.
