July 4, 2014. Highly collected and admired painter Joseph Cave will be celebrating Independence Day weekend at the Art Cellar Gallery. His work is featured along with painter Richard Oversmith in the gallery’s newest exhibition, “Two Views” which opened July 2 and runs through July 26. On Saturday, July 5, Joseph Cave will be at the gallery for a Saturday Coffee Talk from 10 a.m.-noon.

This casual event includes a short talk by the artist and an opportunity to ask questions, purchase his beautiful new books and learn more about his inspiration and technique while enjoying morning refreshments.

The “Two Views” exhibit features the landscapes of Joseph Cave and Richard Oversmith. Both acclaimed artists work in oils but each brings a very distinctive style of working and interpreting the landscape. “Two Views” runs July 2-26 with an opening reception with the artists on Friday, July 11 from 4-6 p.m. Pastoral views, open vistas and waterways will fill the gallery as these accomplished nature artists transport us through their approach to interpreting and capturing the world around us. Richard Oversmith will be talking about his work and doing a demonstration on Saturday, July 12, from 10 a.m.-noon.
