Last Day to Register for ‘A Cool 5’ Weekend in Beech Mountain, Registration Closes at Midnight

March 9, 2012. BEECH MOUNTAIN — Today is the last day to register for a chance to win a spot in Antler Reality’s “A Cool 5” training weekend, which is valued at over $800. You must register by 11:59 p.m. to be among the 30 people selected for this April 28 to 29 event.

The weekend will feature presenations/clinics/training sessions from industry professionals (itinerary below) including coaches,trainers and exercise physiologists. Weekend topics will include training program design, run/walk training, weight room training to improve running performance, yoga for athletes, a seminar on healthy nutrition and your very own customized one month to race day count down training plan.

This weekend long event has something to offer for everyone. From a Friday night community pasta dinner with guest speaker to the competitive 5 mile race, 1.5 mile fun run and walk, a pet friendly environment complete with doggy water stops along the 1.5 mile course, a vibrant race village, lots of prizes for participants, post-race awards and lunch, two complementary adult beverages for those of age and thirsty at the finish line, a Saturday evening pub-crawl and Sunday recovery Yoga. Saturday

8 a.m. – Meet and Greet/Check-in
9 a.m. – Group Briefing
9:30 a.m. – Group Run
10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Personal Time
12-1:30 p.m. – Workshop/Seminar/Clinic (lunch provided)
1:30-2:30 p.m. – Group Weight Room Session
3-5 p.m. – Training Plan Development
5-6:30 p.m. – Personal Time
6:30 p.m. – Dinner with the coaches or dinner on your own 

Sunday

9 a.m. – Group Run/Course Preview
10 a.m. – Yoga for Athletes
11 a.m. – Recovery meal/Training Nutrition Workshop
1 p.m. – Q&A
2 p.m. – Personal Time or scheduled training with coaches
