Oct. 29, 2012. Appalachian State University’s Performing Arts Series is participating in a statewide collaboration with arts presenters all over North Carolina to bring Connecting Crossroads in North Carolina to the High Country. Composer/violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain and singer/songwriter Laurelyn Dossett have travelled from the mountains to the sea of our state seeking stories to inspire a new collection of music that represents North Carolina.
At the conclusion of their week-long residency, DBR and Laurelyn will perform selections from the Connecting Crossroads CD, The Collide. Accompanying them at the performance will be musicians from around the High Country showcasing the diverse talent of our region.
Connecting Crossroads’ public performance is on Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. at Valborg Theatre. For tickets, call 1-800-841-ARTS or 828-262-4046 or visit www.pas.appstate.edu.
