Bethel School in Sugar Grove to Host Music Festival Tonight

SUGAR GROVE – Are you still making plans for the weekend? Head out to Bethel School in Sugar Grove on Friday, March 24 to enjoy barbecue and live music. Just a few dollars will get you in the door, and your contribution will help seventh- and eighth-graders travel to Atlanta later this year.

Well-known local groups like bluegrass greats Amantha Mill, contemporary Christian group Bethel Road and soul, funk and blues band Groove-828 will perform starting at 6 p.m. in the school gym, and tickets to enjoy the tunes are only $3. While you’re there, grab a plate of barbecue complete with all the fixings from one of Boone’s newest restaurants, BBQ, Burgers and Brews. Plates will be available at $7 per person, and just $5 for kids’ plates.

All proceeds will help seventh and eighth grade students pay for their upcoming trip to Atlanta, Georgia, where tours of the Atlanta Zoo, the Center for Disease Control, CNN and historical sites like the Holocaust Museum and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s resting place will make academic connections to their classroom curriculum.

Bring your friends out for a fun-filled night of music, food and community that will help local students achieve their goals this year.

Tickets will be available at the door. Bethel School is located at 138 Bethel School Road in Sugar Grove.
