The Art Cellar Gallery’s Coffee talk series continues this Saturday July 16 with artist David Birmingham. Join us for this special event as the artist talks about his art, life and also presents a figure drawing demonstration.
Birmingham’s oils on canvas transport viewers to the mountain vistas, tree lined roads and waters edge of the mountain region. His ability to capture the light, shadow and mood of his subjects has developed over his lifetime, as he traveled the world sketching and painting the scenes around him. During this Saturday’s Coffee talk the artist will give insight into his interesting artists journey, sharing his passion for all the arts and his vast knowledge as a studio artist and a teacher.
The Art Cellar Gallery is exhibiting many of Birmingham’s works from expansive canvases to more intimate smaller works. The gallery will also be showing several of Birmingham’s new figurative works. The artist will discuss drawing the human figure and give a simple figure drawing demonstration.
The main floor gallery is currently featuring the “Retrospective” exhibition of Bryan Keith Smith showing a rich range of work from the artist’s career. The exhibition features watercolors from mountain views to oceans edge and also includes several of the artist oils on canvas. The “Retrospective” exhibition continues through July 23rd.
