Watauga County Democratic Party to Hold Annual Convention Saturday, April 14, in Watauga Courthouse

April 13, 2012. BOONE — On Saturday, March 14, the Watauga County Democratic Party will hold it’s annual annual convention at the Watauga County Courthouse. Registration for the convention begins at noon in the top floor lobby outside of Courtroom number one. There will also be a luncheon prior to the convention. 

The convention begins at 1 p.m. inside the courtroom and author Rev. Marcia Cham will deliver the keynote address. Also giving speeches will be Roy Carter, candidate for the N.C. Senate District 45 seat; Elisabeth Motsinger, candidate for Congress from the Fifth Congressional District; Cullie Tarleton, candidate for the N.C. House District 93 seat; and candidates for county commission and school board.

Cham is the author of “You Mean I Have to Look at the Body? Stories of Dying and Living” and is current working on her second book.
