Sept. 30, 2014. Our Fall 2014 Visitor Guide is hot off the press. With dozens of pages brimming with adventures to do this autumn, the fall visitor guide is now available at newsstands and establishments across the High Country.

It’s free, too. So if you are a visitor to the area, pick one up to find things to do this fall. It features a comprehensive listing of all the fall festivals, such as Tweetsie Railroad’s Ghost Train Halloween Festival, Woolly Worm Festival, Boone Heritage Festival, Oktoberfest at Sugar Mountain Resort and much more.

The fall guide also features a preview of all the towns and villages in the area, a listing of scenic drives in the High Country and milepost-by-milepost overview of the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is always a fabulous place to check out fall foliage and fall colors.

And don’t forget about the nice presentation of restaurants, shops and wineries in Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Boone and beyond. So before you head out, peruse the shopping and dining guide that features descriptions of each establishment, contact information and directions.

As always, we encourage the locals, who will likely find something inside that they didn’t know about the High Country, to grab a few copies to keep on hand and give to friends and family members that visit the High Country this October.
