Sept. 9, 2014. Appalachian Regional Healthcare Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported the Patrons Evening Under the Stars on July 26 and the 37th annual Blowing Rock Fashion Show and Luncheon on Aug. 1. With 130 people attending the Patrons Evening and 284 attending the luncheon, both events were a complete sellout! There are many people to thank – committee members, volunteers, merchants and donors.

“I am so pleased that the Fashion Show Luncheon and Patrons Evening raised $70,000 to support the Chestnut Ridge project,” stated Rob Hudspeth, Senior Vice President for System Advancement.

A huge thanks goes to our Blowing Rock Patrons Evening and Fashion Show General Events Chair, Alice Roess. The time and talent she poured into organizing and facilitating these events made them both a huge success. This year’s Blowing Rock Events committee members were Ruth Dyer, Suzanne Miller, Trimella Chaney, Giner Ebaugh, Lynn Lawrence, Betty Pitts, Vicki Worsham, Dena Lutz, Lynne Rees and Jane Meyers. Our honorary chairwoman was Tacky Vosburgh. Without their tireless effort and numerous volunteer hours, these events would not have been possible. Thank you also to the Patrons Evening hosts, Ron and Paula Withrow.

Finally, thanks to all who attended and donated to these events. Without your continued and enthusiastic support, this tradition would not be what it is today. We appreciate the community engagement and excitement about Chestnut Ridge, which will offer post-acute care, which includes short- and long-term rehabilitative services, skilled nursing care, memory care support and palliative care. These services will enhance the quality of life of High Country residents.
