Jan. 29, 2013. Constituents are invited to the grand opening of U.S. Rep. Mark Meadows Spruce Pine District Office on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 5 p.m. Along with Meadows, Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shirley Hise will attend the event at 11 Crystal Street in Spruce Pine.

“As a congressman, one of his top priorities is constituent services … making sure his constituents are taking care of,” said Lisa Boothe, a spokesman for Meadows. “Folks can come with questions or concerns with the federal government or help with case work. We have staff on hand to assist with problems or questions they have.” 

Avery County is among the counties Meadows represents N.C. 11th Congressional District
