For the second time this season, Appalachian State will host a kickoff luncheon on Friday (Oct. 30) from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. on the club level of the Appalachian Athletics Center.

Hosted by the Voice of the Mountaineers David Jackson, the Kickoff Luncheon includes a catered meal and program featuring athletics director Doug Gillin, head coach Scott Satterfield and a football student-athlete.

Tickets for the Kickoff Luncheon are available to the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis for just $20 per person. To reserve a seat while space remains, call the Appalachian State athletics ticket office at (828) 262-2079.

TRUNK OR TREAT

With Saturday’s home game falling on Halloween for the first time in seven years, fans of all ages are invited to participate in a “Trunk or Treat” program while tailgating prior to Saturday’s contest.

Fans that park in the Stadium, Justice and Duncan lots are encouraged to bring candy and other treats to hand out to Trunk or Treaters. From noon-2 p.m., young fans dressed in their Halloween costumes are welcome to make their way through those three lots to collect their Trunk-or-Treating loot.

Fans of all ages are also welcome to wear their costumes into Kidd Brewer Stadium for Saturday’s game. However, for safety of all fans, costume accessories that can be used/construed as weapons, projectiles or artificial noisemakers are prohibited from the stadium. Final determination on all items will be at the discretion of stadium security personnel.

GIGAPIXEL PHOTO

An ultra-high resolution, 360-degree fan photo (known as a gigapixel photo) will be taken at Kidd Brewer Stadium during Saturday’s game.

The interactive photo allows fans to find and tag themselves, share the views with friends, enter to win cool prizes and celebrate the game in incredible detail. The image will be billions of pixels in size (yes, that’s billion with a “b”)!

In order to be a part of the photo, fans are encouraged to be in their seats before the opening kickoff.

Fans can sign up now to be notified when the Appalachian State Mountaineers Gigapixel is ready to view at http://pano.ly/appstate.

FANS INVITED ON FIELD FOLLOWING GAME

In honor of Appalachian State’s ongoing Year of the Fan festivities, fans are invited to join the Mountaineers on the playing field at Kidd Brewer Stadium following Saturday’s game.

Fans can access field level via the gate at the northwest corner of the field (closest to Owens Field House and the Appalachian sideline) immediately following the conclusion of the game. On the field, fans can greet their favorite Mountaineer student-athletes and coaches and remain on the field until the conclusion of the Marching Mountaineers’ postgame performance.
