Western Watauga Community and Senior Center Offers Weekly Classes; Art, Knitting, Pottery and More

Aug. 23, 2012. Most classes are ongoing with open enrollment all year providing there is space. Priority goes to those age 60+ classes and fees may be subject to change. Call 828-297-5195 for current information anytime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

 

Art: drawing and painting  Thursdays 9:30am-12:30pm

 Instructor:  Marsha Holmes limited space age 60+ only

 

Decorative beading and Jewelry making  Mondays -12-3pm

Instructor: Melody  all ages welcome

 

Knitting:  all levels  Wednesdays 9am-12noon 

Instructor: Bina Tester limited space age 60+ only

 

Lap Quilting Guild Thursdays 9am-12pm

Instructor: Helen Warren   limited space age 60+ only

 

Hand Built Pottery Wednesdays 10am-1pm limited space age 60+ only

Rug Hooking & stitching : Mondays 10am-1pm design  your own tapestries and wall hangings too

Weaving  Fridays 9am-1pm create cloth, rugs,  runners, Fiber art and more: Instructor: Donna Duke will assist new students on the first Friday each month, or by appointment. all ages welcome

 

Woodcarving Tuesdays 8:00am-11:30 using hand tools, carve art pieces,  folk items, walking canes and more all ages welcome
