Press Release from Grandfather Mountain State Park:

Weekly Spring Wildflower Walks: Free and Open to the Public.

Profile Trail; Grandfather Mountain State Park

9am-1pm

Thursday, March 22

Wednesday, March 28

Wednesday, April 4

Thursday, April 12

Wednesday, April 18

Wednesday, April 25

The moist, rich coves surrounding the Profile Trail produce an astonishing array of spring wildflowers. Join a park ranger in weekly explorations of the trail to see what new spring flowers have emerged.

Wear sturdy hiking boots. Bring a jacket, water and snacks. Although we won’t hike great distances, the trail is all uphill and we’ll be out in the elements the entire time.

The Profile Trial is located on Highway 105 South; ¼ mile north of the Hwy. 184 intersection.

Call the park office if you have questions: 828-963-9522 or email susan.mcbean@ncdenr.gov.
