Weekly Crime Reports: Activity Reported Around the High Country, June 13 – 22

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

June 13

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 594 Faulkner Drive in Boone.

June 15

ARREST: A male suspect, 41, of 144 Leafy Lane in Boone, was charged with driving while license revoked and displaying expired registration plate. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

June 16

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 217 Fox Cove Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Assault was reported at 190 Parkwood Circle Unit 1 in Boone. Four subjects reportedly assaulted a victim.

INCIDENT: A missing person was reported at Daymark Recovery Services, 132 Poplar Grove.

INCIDENT: Violation of a court order was reported at 269 Creek Ridge Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 110 Anderson Ave. in Vilas. Two wooden boundary markers valued at $5 were reported damaged.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 118 Old U.S. Highway 421 in Sugar Grove after a victim was being harassed via Facebook.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, of 269 Creek Ridge Road in Sugar Grove, was charged with violation of a court order. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 211 Equestrian Chase in Rougemont, was charged with trespassing. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

June 17

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at 130 Birch St. Apt. 1 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 190 Parkwood Circle Unit 1 in Boone. Items reported stolen include a Mac laptop valued at $925, a G Drive hard drive valued at $150, an iLock drive for music valued at $50, a blue iPod Nano valued at $100 and a Fossil watch valued at $200.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 615 Fallview Lane in Boone. Items reported damaged include the windshield and antenna of a Toyota 4-Runner valued at $650.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 130 Birch St. Apt. 1 in Boone, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possessing/concealing paraphernalia. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 130 Birch St. Apt. 1 in Boone, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, misdemeanor possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond. 0.5 ML of amphetamines/methamphetamines was seized.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 190 Parkwood Circle Apt. 1 in Boone, was charged with simple assault. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 43, of 225 Linda Lane in Vilas, was charged with felony interfering with an electronic monitoring device. She was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of the Sleep Inn in Boone, was charged with trespassing. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 14.

June 18

INCIDENT: Intimidation of a witness and domestic violence protection order violation were reported.

INCIDENT: Driving while impaired and driving while license revoked were reported at 100 Perkinsville in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 19747 Deer Valley Drive in Cornelius, was charged with all traffic (careless/reckless), all traffic (suspended), all traffic (speeding) and all traffic (left of center). He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 47, of 613 Wildcat Road in Marlinton, West Virginia, was charged with aiding and abetting driving while impaired. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 58, of 1625 Hayes Place NW in Lenoir, was charged with driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

June 19

INCIDENT: Drug violations possession of a controlled substance in detention area was reported at the Watauga County Courthouse.

INCIDENT: Assault and battery and interfering with emergency communication were reported at 211 Saddle Hills Road Unit 3 in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Burglary – forcible entry and larceny from buildings were reported at 7787 Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap. Items reported stolen include a Cub Cadet zero turn mower valued at $2,500, a Cub Cadet riding mower valued at $800, a Shindaiwa weed eater valued at $200, a Stihl chainsaw valued at $250, two five-gallon cans full of gasoline valued at $70 and four tackle boxes with lures valued at $400.

INCIDENT: Resisting a public officer, assault on a female and injury to real property were reported at 326 Vannoy Lane in Boone. Items reported damaged include the driver’s side window of a Saturn L200 valued at $300 and the front screen door of a home and other property valued at $500.

INCIDENT: Burglary – forcible entry and larceny were reported at 207 John Henry Drive in Todd. Glass in the front door of a home valued at $250 was reported damaged. Items reported stolen include a Samsung 50-inch Smart TV valued at $500 and a Blu-Ray player valued at $50.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 211 Saddle Hills Road in Boone, was charged with assault and battery. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 44, of 1179 Vanderpool Road in Vilas, was charged with cyber stalking. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 7.

ARREST: A male suspect, 58, of 141 Old Anderson Quarry in Vilas, was charged with trespassing and all other offenses. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 326 Vannoy Lane in Boone, was charged with resisting a public officer, assault on a female, interfering with emergency communication and two counts of injury to real property. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

June 20

INCIDENT: Trespassing was reported at 594 Faulkner Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 388 Green Ridge Road in Deep Gap. A gravesite plaque valued at $100 was reported stolen.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1006 Fallview Lane Unit 2 in Boone. Items reported stolen include clothing, $300 in miscellaneous textbooks and a $75 Life Proof cellphone case.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 100 Mountain Bike Way in Boone.

INCIDENT: A male suspect, 36, of 2300 Kennesaw Drive in Charlotte, was charged with driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

June 21

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 268 Cloudrise Lane Unit A in Banner Elk, was charged with driving while impaired. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

June 22

INCIDENT: Assault and communicating threats were reported on Castle Ford Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Aggravated assault was reported at 4465 N.C. Highway 194 in Boone.

June 15

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 523 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Larceny and obtaining property by false pretense were reported at 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A female suspect, 44, of 227 Cara Lane, was charged with larceny. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

STOLEN PROPERTY: A 1.1 Series red Trek bicycle was reported stolen at 523 Blowing Rock Road.

STOLEN PROPERTY: A game controller was reported stolen at 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

June 16

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle theft was reported at 163 Hidden Valley Circle.

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 643 Greenway Road.

INCIDENT: Calls for service/possible inappropriate actions by a teacher were reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 297 Cherry Drive.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 267 New Market Centre.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 130 Birch St. Apt. 1, was charged with possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling place, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 165 Robin Lane Apt. 301, was charged with assault on a female. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 50, of Sunnyside Drive, was charged with assault. She’s scheduled to appear in court on July 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 40, was charged with trespassing. She was held under a $500 secured bond and scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

STOLEN PROPERTY: An extended cab Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck was reported stolen from 163 Hidden Valley Circle.

June 17

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at the TOB water tank, 354 Church St.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 268 New Market Centre.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 128 Kerley Drive, was charged with shoplifting. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 2551 U.S. Highway 421 in Mountain City, was charged with failure to maintain lane control and driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

STOLEN PROPERTY: Blackhawk Network California Inc. currency cards were reported stolen from 267 New Market Centre.

June 18

INCIDENT: Assault on a female and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported at 286 Faculty St.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 169 Boone Docks St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 19609 Coachmans Trace in Cornelius, was charged with underage possession and intoxicated and disruptive. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 139 Fireflee Lane, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and assault on a female. He was held under a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 352 Old East King St. Apt. 8, was charged with NOL and possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana. He was held under a $30,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 2741 Asheville Highway in Greeneville, was charged with failure to burn tag lights and driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

STOLEN PROPERTY: A Primewell tire and Chevrolet wheel were reported stolen from 169 Boone Docks St.

June 19

INCIDENT: A missing person was reported at 193 Winter Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 48, of 259 Furman Road Apt. 117, was charged with defrauding an innkeeper. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 59, of 316 Pleasant Acre Drive in Mocksville, was charged with indecent liberties with a child, disseminate obscene material to a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor and solicit a child by computer. He was held under a $200,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 152 Martin Lane, was charged with no operator’s license, driving left of center and driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 185 Faculty St. Apt. 104, was charged with driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 46, of 338 Brook Hollow Road, was charged with second degree trespassing and injury to personal property. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 7.

ARREST: A female suspect, 46, of 5260 N.C. Highway 198 in Carnesville, was charged with felony probation violation. She was held under a $50,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

June 20

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Greenway Baptist Church, 880 Greenway Road.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 807 Hillcrest Circle.

INCIDENT: Burglary and vandalism were reported at Sears, 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Assault was reported at 150 Winter Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 68, of 470 Eagle Drive, was charged with assault and battery. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 14.

STOLEN PROPERTY: A wooden stake was reported stolen at 807 Hillcrest Circle.
