Sound Traveler Spreads the Love Around the HC

Aug. 13, 2012. Sound Traveler is a dynamic duo of harmony that plays around the high country. This week they’ll be playing at MK’s Southern Cooking, Zudza in Banner Elk, the Banner Elk Cafe and Grandfather Vineyard and Winery near Foscoe. Read on for the schedule and don’t let this week go by without checking out Sound Traveler.

Sound Traveler is made up of husband-and-wife duet, Bob and Patty Tatum, both multi-instrumentalists who bring a wide array of styles and sounds to their music. Bob is a retired school teacher from Avery County, and along with Patty the two tour the High Country from spring through fall.

“These guys are a lot of fun,” says Concerts at the Jones House organizer, Mark Freed. “They have a really diverse repertoire and will probably fill the porch with instruments.”
