July 10, 2014. King Street in downtown Boone will be closed to traffic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 13 because of a Model T Ford car show, which is a part of the 2014 Tour of the Model T Ford Club International in the High Country from July 13 to 18.

The Boone Police Department has advised that vehicles parked on King Street from Appalachian and Depot streets need to be moved by 10 a.m. or else will be subject to being towed.

The car show will start at noon and a fashion show at the Jones House will take place at 1 p.m., according to Steve Bumgarner, executive director of the club and tour chairperson, on a Model T Ford Club International forum.
