March 9, 2012. BEECH MOUNTAIN — Beech Mountain will be finishing out their 2011-2012 season this weekend. Saturday, March 10, will feature a dual slalom qualifier and live music in the evening. Sunday, March 11, will be the final day of operations and all lift tickets will be free of charge.

“It’s been a very positive year for us,” said Talia Freeman, director of marketing for Beech Mountain Resort. “We’ve had a strong and loyal customer base and we wanted to give back to our customers and have a fun day where everyone could come enjoy the slopes and not have to worry about the costs.”

Freeman also added that this is the first time Beech Mountain has ever offered free lift tickets on the final day of operation.

Beech Mountain Resort is operating the day session only on Saturday, extending session hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

An all day ticket, running 9 hours, is $30. Half-day sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., for $20.
