Happy Birthday Doc! Doc Watson, the Famous Flatpicker from Deep Gap, turned 89 Years Old Today

March 3, 2012. BOONE — Born in Deep Gap on March 3, 1923, Doc Watson turned 89 years old today. As evident of the many recent performances Doc played last summer and fall, he still commands the stage and picks that Gallagher of his like lightening.
