By Troy Brooks

Calling all dads and daughters in the High Country: grab your dancing shoes and get into the groove! The Williams YMCA will host its 9th annual Princess Date Night on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Grandfather Golf and Country Club.

This formal dinner and dance event gives daughters and their fathers, grandfathers or father figures a chance to spend a fun evening together and make memories that will last a lifetime.

“I think it’s a great opportunity for them to get dressed and experience some fine dining,” said Holly Magid. “My daughter has attended it several years in a row and she really loves it. For the girls its get a very special occasion. It’s a first dance opportunity and it’s just a really sweet event. It’s great to see these girls grow up over the years.”

The fun begins at 6 p.m. with a social, hors d’oeuvres and pictures. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by a dance with DJ.

“We do have seats available,” said Holly Magid, Director of Operations and Finance at the YMCA. “We just need to know and they need to be registered by Friday.”

If you would like to join the party, register online at www.ymcaavery.org. Tickets are $50 per father and $25 per daughter ages 4 and up.
