Aug. 31, 2012. The Crossnore Fine Arts Gallery is proud to present “Inherent Beauty” the art of Julia Ralston which will be on display for the month of September in the gallery. Crossnore invites you to join Julia on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and view her vibrant and honest work.

“Like many other artists, I see beauty not only in our vistas, meadows, rivers and marshes, but also in out of the way places, transitional places, even in neglected places,” says artist Julia Ralston.  This is evident in Julia’s work; she can paint an old rusted tractor and breathe new life into it on canvas or capture the colors of Ethiopia in a weaving mill, bringing our imaginations to the very place where she stood.

“This show “Inherent Beauty” refers to the beauty that can be found in all things and is also in each one of us, put there by our Creator,” comments Julia.

Crossnore Fine Arts Gallery is located at 205 Johnson Lane on The Crossnore School campus. Contact Heidi Fisher at 828-733-3144 for more information.

The gallery specifically supports The Crossnore School’s Stepping Stones program which transitions students from foster care to successful independent living.  For more information on The Crossnore School visit our website www.crossnoreschool.org or call 828-733-4305.
