Quotes

“Carolina Ballet is proud to perform at the Appalachian Summer Festival,” said Weiss. “The opportunity to share our love for ballet with Boone is an honor, and we invite the community to join us in this celebration of dance.”

The festival has been named one of the “Top Twenty Events in the Southeast” by the Southeast Tourism Society.

“Carolina Ballet artistic director Robert Weiss thinks big, especially with music not originally written for ballet,” said Roy C. Dicks, correspondent from The News & Observer. “His latest work, set to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, is a worthy addition to Weiss’ similarly inspired creations.”
