High Country Audobon to Have Monthly Meeting June 19

June 13, 2012. High Country Audubon (HCAS) will have its next meeting Tuesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express in Boone. The monthly meeting on June 19 will feature a presentation by Walter Clark of the Blue Ridge Conservancy.

Walter Clark is the Executive Director of Blue Ridge Conservancy an organization that protects land in Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes and Yancey counties. They conserve land with significant agricultural, ecological, cultural, recreational, or scenic value.

High Country Audubon Society covers Avery, Ashe, Alleghany, Watauga and Wilkes counties and is designed to encourage beginning birders and experts alike to engage in conservation, education and research for the birds of western North Carolina. HCAS invites the public to attend the monthly meetings and field trips.
