Press Release From Green Drinks Boone

April 6, 2012. The April 10 meeting of Green Drinks Boone will focus on the various Earth Day events that are scheduled throughout April in the High Country. On April 22, more than one billion people around the globe will participate in Earth Day 2012 celebrating the 42nd annual Earth Day and a number of organizations around the area have events and activities planned. At Green Drinks Boone we will provide an opportunity for those hosting events to promote their activity and provide details on how others can participate. This meeting will be more open with plenty of time to make a quick presentation on what is taking place during the month. It is also a great time to celebrate our success with various green initiatives.

The Earth Day Network, an international organization, is asking everyone to attend a local Earth Day event and join local Earth Day campaigns as they collect A Billion Acts of Green® and elevate the importance of environmental issues around the world. Their motto is Together we will Mobilize the Earth™ on April 22 and demand change.
The Tuesday evening event will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Pepper’s Restaurant, located in the Shops at Shadowline in Boone.
