At the base of one of the region’s top winter economic drivers, the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce co-host the 2017 High Country Economic Kickoff Breakfast, Tuesday, January 24th at Appalachian Ski Mountain.
Longtime Appalachian State Walker College of Business faculty member, Dr. Harry Davis, will deliver his 2017 economic forecast. Dr. Davis serves as both Dean and instructor for the North Carolina School of Banking. He is an instructor for the Director’s College sponsored by the North Carolina Commissioner of Banks and the FDIC. Dr. Davis is also an instructor for the North Carolina Insurance Executive Management School and the South Carolina School of Banking.
Kevin Troyer, President/CEO of 4 Forty Four, will provide remarks on growing a local business in the High Country. 4 Forty Four has operated in Blowing Rock, NC, for over 15-years. The family-owned business specializes in construction, custom log work, timer framing, design, and project management.
Registration fee is $10 dollars and includes a buffet-style breakfast prepared by the award-winning Appalachian Ski Mountain catering staff. Doors open at 7:30am and the event will end promptly at 9am. Free parking will be available in the Appalachian Ski Mountain member lot, which provides easy access to the Snow Cloud Room.
