On Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, N.C.-based Americana band Possum Jenkins and dB Productions will host the Third Annual Carolina Ramble & Reunion at beautiful Brayshaw farm near Boone, N.C. The Ramble is an intimate, fall music festival featuring food, camping, games, and fun for the whole family.
The Ramble’s two stages will be humming with live music from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and will feature some of the region’s finest purveyors of “Carolinacana”—a soulful stew of rock, folk, funk, country, blues and r&b. Performers include The Greg Humphreys Electric Trio, Possum Jenkins, Hilltop Riot, Alexa Rose, Earleine, The Worthless Son-In-Laws, The Menders, Nate Harris (of Spice Creek Ramblers), Molly McGinn, and Wurlitzer Prize.
One of the Tar Heel state’s finest exports, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Humphreys is the co-founder and frontman for beloved N.C. rock quartet Dillon Fence and funky alt. soul outfit Hobex. Currently based in New York City, Humrpheys’ newest ensemble combines his passions for soul, pop and rock, again revealing his gift for pairing memorable hooks with solid grooves.
Both kids and adults are invited to participate in the inaugural Ramblympics. Attendees will be paired with musicians for a three-legged race, as well as the sack race. Other activities include the charity cake walk, apple pressing, and bonfire.
Camping is available and encouraged at two primitive sites: Quiet/Family Camping and Not-So-Quiet Camping.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at CarolinaRamble.com until Wednesday, September 28. Tickets will also be available at the gate. Day passes are $25 and camping passes are $35. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.
