Habitat for Humanity to Host Blueprints and Bow Ties Fundraising Auction on Oct. 8

Watauga Habitat for Humanity will hold its annual Blueprints and Bow Ties auction and social on Oct. 8. Watauga Habitat will be hosting a fun, spirited live auction and social event. Auctioneer Jesse Miller will be soliciting the bids for the items including weekend getaways, spa treatments, gift certificates to the trendiest local eateries, and much more which will promise some exhilarating, high energy bidding.habitathands

“This is our fourth year and we anticipate that after this year’s event the total amount raised from the Blueprints and Bow Ties Auction will have paid for an entire Habitat house. It is a great event, and it has a lot of untapped potential to help more Watauga County families in need of a home.” Said Alex Hooker, Executive Director of Watauga Habitat for Humanity.

Wine and beer will be provided through a cash bar by Appalachian Mountain Brewery. Food will be catered by Reid’s Catering who will be working with numerous High Country local farms to provide a Farm to Table menu of all heavy appetizers. Live music will feature the Hot Club of Lenoir. The event is at the Harvest House which is located at 247 Boone Heights Drive in Boone. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the live auction starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 each or two for $75. Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.wataugahabitat.org.
