Weekly Crime Reports: Activity Reported Around the High Country, May 1 – 18

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

May 1

INCIDENT: Drug violations and equipment/paraphernalia were reported at 220 Parkwood Circle in Boone just after 1 p.m.

May 5

INCIDENT: Drug violations and equipment/paraphernalia were reported at 4287 U.S. Highway 321 N in Sugar Grove just after 8:15 p.m.

May 11

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 131 Misty Springs Road in Troutman, was charged with driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

May 12

INCIDENT: Drug violations and equipment/paraphernalia were reported at a convenience store located at 5030 U.S. Highway 321 S. in Blowing Rock just after 12:30 a.m.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1769 Mabel School Road at 2:40 p.m. Property damage included four bus side windows valued at $100, two front windshields valued at $500, one glass door valued at $300 and two rearview mirrors valued at $100.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 716 Nuway Circle #11 Apt. A in Lenoir, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, fictitious information to an officer and failure to appear on shoplifting charges. He was held under a $7,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 249 Stillwater Road in Boomer, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A female suspect, 26, of 722 Sunset Ave. Apt. 103 in Asheboro, was charged with felony failure to report a sex offender, obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor breaking and entering. She was held under a $28,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 6383 Rock Skip Lane in Boone, was charged with felony failure to register an address change of a sex offender, obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor breaking and entering. He was held under a $60,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

May 13

INCIDENT: Disorderly conduct was reported at 298 Tom Perry Road just before 8:30 p.m.

INCIDENT: Vandalism, felony breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 4827 U.S. Highway 321 N. in Sugar Grove just after 4:30 p.m. Items reported stolen included an X-Box 360 with Kinect valued at $250, a pellet gun .177 cal with scope valued at $170, a 1911 Colt style 6 mm Airsoft handgun valued at $100, a G17 Glock style 6mm Airsoft handgun valued at $200, two Crossman 6mm Airsoft handguns valued at $40, an H&K style 6mm Airsoft handgun valued at $100, a jar of coins valued at $55 and a gold chain valued at $10.

ARREST: A male suspect, 41, of 2148 Clarks Creek Road in Banner Elk, was charged with all traffic and fictitious information. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1846 Forest Grove Road in Vilas, was charged with driving with a revoked license.

May 14

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at 100 New Market Blvd. in Boone just after 11:40 p.m. A glass jar containing marijuana and a black sunglasses case with glass smoking pipe and marijuana were seized.

ARREST: A male suspect, 43, of 727 Dutch Creek Road in Banner Elk, was served a criminal summons for worthless checks.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, of 2279 Silverstone Road in Zionville, was charged with two counts of felony conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and possess/distribute meth precursor. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 657 Green Road in Butler, was charged with driving while impaired and failure to appear. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 16.

May 15

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at 378 Goshen Drive in Boone just after 8:30 a.m.

INCIDENT: Burglary and vandalism were reported at 4092 N.C. Highway 105 S Apt. 320 in Boone just before 5:30 a.m. A window screen/lock was damaged.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 2819 Rochelle St. Apt. 302 in Durham, was charged with all traffic and failure to appear. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 119 Conley Farm Road in Woodleaf, was charged with breaking and entering and damage to real property. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 52, of 138 Coy Ham Road in Lansing, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He’s scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

May 17

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at 255 North Woods Road in Boone just before 6:15 p.m. $800 in money/cash was reported stolen.

INCIDENT: Burglary and vandalism were reported at 117 Abberly Court Apt. B in Boone at 3:30 a.m. An entry door was reported damaged.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 100 Winklers Creek Estates Drive in Boone just after 7:50 p.m.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 40 Mount Vista Drive in Lillington, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

May 18

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 4074 Big Hill Road in Todd just after 11 a.m. A metal gate was damaged.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 152 Dean Lane in Zionville just after 3:45 p.m.

INCIDENT: Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at 2896 Big Hill Road in Boone just before 12:30 p.m. Power and hand tools valued at $450 were reported stolen.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 225 North Woods Drive in Boone, was charged with assault and battery. He’s scheduled to appear in court on June 12.

ARREST: A male suspect, 45, of 255 North Woods Drive in Boone, was charged with criminal damage to property. He’s scheduled to appear in court on June 12.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 4878 Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap, was charged with probation violations. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 12.

May 11

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at Food Lion, 350 Watauga Village Drive, at 2:40 p.m.

INCIDENT: Vandalism and drug violations were reported at 338 Brook Hollow Road just after 3 p.m.

STOLEN PROPERTY: Money from a bank account was reported stolen from Food Lion, 350 Watauga Village Drive, at 2:40 p.m.
May 12

INCIDENT: Aggravated assault was reported in the parking lot at 746 Howard St. just before 8:30 a.m.

INCIDENT: Larcenies were reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive at 8 a.m.

INCIDENT: Vandalism and assault were reported at 115 Rogers Drive #11 just before 11 a.m.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive at 2 p.m.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 29 N. Highland Ave. in Granite Falls, was charged with two counts each of larceny from a motor vehicle, breaking and entering a motor vehicle and motor vehicle theft. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on May 15.

ARREST: A female suspect, 37, of 309 Meadow Hill Drive Apt. 23, was charged with simple non-physical assault. She’s scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

STOLEN PROPERTY: Money/cash was reported stolen from 300 Go Pioneers Drive at 8 a.m.

May 13

INCIDENT: Possessing/concealing stolen property was reported at Xtreme Gun and Pawn, 240 Shadowline Drive AA8 just after 10:30 a.m.

INCIDENT: Fraud, larceny, possessing/concealing stolen property, possession of marijuana and trespassing were reported at Walmart, 200 Watauga Village Drive, just after 2:30 p.m.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, was charged with intoxicated and disruptive. He’s scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 4200 U.S. Highway 29 N. in Greensboro, was charged with driving with a revoked license and presenting fictitious information. He was held under at $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 190 Ivy Drive Apt. 19, was charged with exceeding the posted speed limit, driving left of center and death by vehicle. He was held under a $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 800 Ragan Road in Trade, was charged with possessing/concealing stolen property, larceny, trespassing and possession of a schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana). He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 186 Birch St. #1, was charged with communicating threats and is scheduled to appear in court on June 9.

May 14

INCIDENT: Disorderly conduct was reported at Blue Ridge Surgical Group, 838 State Farm Road Suite 2, just after 9:30 a.m.

INCIDENT: Maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to sell marijuana were reported at 274 Jefferson Road just before 11:30 p.m.

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 525 Brown Farm Road, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

May 15

INCIDENT: Breaking or entering a motor vehicle, larceny from a motor vehicle and possessing/concealing stolen property were reported at 152 Creekside Lane just before 12:30 a.m.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Sagebrush Restaurant, 1111 N.C. Highway 105, just before 10:30 p.m.

ARREST: A female suspect, 38, of 115 Moonlight Road in Todd, was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana. She was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 429 S. Main St. in Shelby, was charged with possessing/concealing stolen property, larceny from a motor vehicle and breaking or entering a motor vehicle. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear n court on June 18.

STOLEN PROPERTY: A NZXT Phantom desktop computer was reported stolen from 152 Creekside Lane just before 12:30 a.m.

STOLEN PROPERTY: Money/cash was reported stolen from Sagebrush Restaurant, 1111 N.C. Highway 105, just before 10:30 p.m.

May 16

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1586 U.S. Highway 421 S, at 10:15 a.m.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats and trespassing were reported at 338 Brook Hollow Road just after 6:20 p.m.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 455 Scenic Drive in Vilas, was charged with driving while impaired and failure to maintain lane control. He’s scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 139 White Laurel Ave. in Boone, was charged with communicating threats and trespassing. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

ARREST: A male suspect, 44, of 120 Bluebird Lane in Boone, was charged with drug violations, driving with a revoked license and expired registration and parole and probation violations. He was held under a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 12.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 805 Crest Trail in Linville, was charged with intoxicated and disruptive. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

May 17

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at N.C. Highway 105 at 2 p.m.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 6910 D Morgan Place Drive in Clemmons, was charged with second degree trespassing. She was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

STOLEN PROPERTY: An iPhone 5S was reported stolen at N.C. Highway 105 at 2 p.m.
