Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, May 2 – 9

April 30

INCIDENT: A male suspect, 26, of 153 Aldridge Park in Banner Elk, was charged with OFA-FTA. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 7.

May 3

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 439 Indian Paintbrush Drive Unit RR2 in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Vehicle collision/damage to property was reported at 1600 Brookshire Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny – purse snatching was reported at Daymark Recovery Services.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 574 Fairview Lane Apt. 1 in Boone, was charged with felony OFA probation violation. HE was held under a $5,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 31.

May 4

INCIDENT: PWISD Marijuana, open container and drug paraphernalia were reported at 1826 Old U.S. Highway 421 S in Boone.

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle theft was reported at 5050 Peoria Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Larceny by employee was reported at 120 Meat Camp Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 790 Dewitt Barnett Road in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A female suspect, 41, of 691 Sherwood Road in Vilas, was charged with violation of court order. She was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 150 Hillandale Drive in Boone, was charged with felony PWISD marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and open container. He was held under a $6,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

May 5

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 449 Will Combs Hollow in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Possession of meth and drug violations were reported at 1435 N.C. Highway 105 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 1561 Winklers Creek Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 8838 N.C. Highway 105 S in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 305 Hicks Road in Sugar Grove, was charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin, conspiring to traffic opium or heroin, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held under a $100,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 305 Hicks Road in Sugar Grove, was charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin, conspiring to traffic opium or heroin, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held under a $100,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 318 North Woods Road in Boone, was charged with felony robbery with dangerous weapon, kidnapping. misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun and carrying a concealed weapon. He was held under a $75,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

May 6

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault and communicating threats were reported at 153 Payne Branch Road Unit A in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 235 Devonwood Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Injury to real property and injury to personal property were reported at 195 Sierra Vista in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 2229 Watauga River Road in Sugar Grove.

ARREST: A female suspect, 28, of 1280 Old Johns River Road in Blowing Rock, was charged with three counts of contempt of court/perjury/court violations. She was held under a $41,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 31.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 337 Junaluska Road in Boone, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor drug violations. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 1392 Laurel Fork Road in Vilas, was charged with OFA child support. She was held under a $290 secured bond and will appear in court on May 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 129 Lazy Lake Road Unit 4 in Boone, was charged with OFA child support. She was held under a $100 secured bond and will appear in court on May 11.

ARREST: A male suspect, 47, of 42 Belknap Point Road in Gilford, New Hampshire, was charged with FTA driving while impaired, FTA expired registered card/tag and FTA DWLR not impaired rev. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 41, of 2422 Central Drive in Lenoir, was charged with DWLR and fictitious info to officer. He was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

May 7

INCIDENT: Assault on a female and communicating threats were reported at 130 Betty’s Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 908 Fallview Lane Unit 1 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 864 State View Road.

May 8

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 200 Slabtown Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 163 Red Maple Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 615 Fallview Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault and assault on a female were reported at 428 Bluebird Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering, larceny and damage to property were reported at 252 Ivan Trivett Road in Vilas.

ARREST: A female suspect, 19, of 428 Bluebird Lane in Boone, was charged with simple assault. She was held under a $750 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 36, of 428 Bluebird Lane in Boone, was charged with assault on a female. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

INCIDENT: Embezzlement was reported at Watauga County Schools, 361 Jefferson Road.

INCIDENT: Embezzlement was reported at Sunlicious, 208 Faculty St. Suite C.

INCIDENT: Fraud and larceny from motor vehicle were reported at 171 Ivy Drive parking lot.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 574 Fairview Lane #1 in Boone, was charged with two counts each of fraud – impersonation and fraud – credit card/ATM. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and will appear in court on May 16.

May 3

INCIDENT: Larceny by employee was reported at Wal-Mart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny – aid & abet, larceny – remove anti-theft, larceny – shoplifting and possessing/concealing stolen property were reported at Sports Fanatic, 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 138 Ash Lane.

ARREST: A female suspect, 43, of 188 Herring Loop Apt. 206 in Boone, was charged with DWLR. She was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 1414 Old Bristol Road in Boone, was charged with larceny – remove anti-theft, larceny – shoplifting. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 44, of 183 Graggville Road in Boone, was charged with larceny – aid & abed and possessing/concealing stolen property. He was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.

May 4

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at the Rock N Roll Emporium, 641 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at the State Employee Credit Union, 1470 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Trespassing was reported at 199 Howard Street.

ARREST: A female suspect, 28, of 168 Fifth St. in Boone, was charged with probation violations. She was held under a $5,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 16.

May 5

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 611 Winklers Creek Road.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at the State Employee Credit Union, 1470 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 300 Go Pioneers Drive.

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at New River Farms Apartments, 105 Assembly Drive Unit 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 25, of 1672 Poplar Grove Road S in Boone, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense. She was held under a $10,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 51, of 118 Thistle Road in Fleetwood, was charged with embezzlement. She was held under a $10,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

May 6

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 276 Watauga Village Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 2180 Union Grove Church Road in Hurdle Mills, was charged with lane control and DWI and will appear in court on June 14.

May 7

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 236 Oak St.

INCIDENT: Felony larceny and remove anti-theft device were reported at Wal-Mart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

ARARREST: A male suspect, 52, of 159 Camelot Drive in Banner Elk, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under an $18,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 9.

ARREST: A female suspect, 33, of 305 Jefferson St. in Newell, was charged with shoplifting. She was held under a $10,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 32, of 311 Adoulphus St. in Chester, was charged with defeat anti-theft device and shoplifting. She was held under a $20,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 2560 Pine Ridge Road in Mount Airy, was charged with defeat anti-theft device and shoplifting. He was held under a $20,000 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

May 8

INCIDENT: Fraud, larceny of a firearm, larceny from a motor vehicle were reported at 611 Winklers Creek Road.

INCIDENT: Attempted breaking and entering was reported at 111 Bradford Lane Apt. 7.

INCIDENT: Burglary was reported at 150 Creekside Lane.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 1206 Piedmont Drive NW in Lenoir, was charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia and DWLR and will appear in court on June 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 45, was charged with trespassing. He was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 14.

ARREST: A male suspect, 61, of 111 Bradford Lane Apt. 9 in Boone, was charged with attempted breaking and entering. He was held under a $500 secured bond and will appear in court on June 17.
