Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Sept. 23 – Oct. 5

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Sept. 23

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 3071 Roby Greene Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: A male suspect, 33, of 139 Frank Roland Road in Warrensville, was charged with felony larceny of ginseng. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 1351 Brownwood Road in Deep Gap, was charged with felony larceny of ginseng. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Sept. 27

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 608 Warren Ave. in Cary, was charged with DWI. He was scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

Sept. 29

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 630 Aho Road in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 108 Darby Court Unit A in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a motor vehicle was reported at 149 Darby Court Unit B in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 2756 Hardin Road in Boone, was charged with felony probation violation and FTA possess/distribute meth precursor. She was held under a $200,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 12.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 1436 Mountain Dale Road in Vilas, was charged with felony probation violation, failure to appear and misdemeanor probation violation. He was held under a $210,000 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 2.

Sept. 30

INCIDENT: Simple assault and communicating threats were reported at 875 Bentley Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Injury to real property was reported at 205 Cannon Lane in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 598 Wildcat Road in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 249 Camp Rock Road in Boone, was charged with injury to personal property. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6.

ARREST: A female suspect, 31, of 6887 Junaluska Road in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 27.

Oct. 1

INCIDENT: Domestic assault was reported at 370 Arnett Hollow Road in Vilas.

ARREST: A male suspect, 49, of 1833 Highway 91 N. in Mountain City, Tennessee, was charged with felony conspiracy to possess precursor chemicals and possess/distribute meth precursor. He was held under a $50,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A female suspect, 48, of 1833 Divide Road in Mountain City, Tennessee, was charged with felony conspiracy to possess precursor chemicals and possess/distribute meth precursor. She was held under a $50,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Oct. 2

INCIDENT: Sex offender unlawfully on premises was reported at Parkway School.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 124 Banners Mobile Park in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were reported at 1568 Powder Horn Mountain Road in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 139 S. Washington St. in Rutherfordton, was charged with DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A female suspect, 41, of 140 Ridgewood Lane in West Jefferson, was charged with DWI. She’ scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 113 Dovick Drive in Banner Elk, was charged with felony indecent liberties with child, PWIMSD marijuana and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 36, of 272 Horseshoe Ridge Road in Deep Gap, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $300 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 1240 Raven Rock Road in Boone, was charged with felony assault by strangulation and misdemeanor interfere with emergency communications. He was held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Oct. 3

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1756 U.S. Highway 421 N. in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 18, of 1802 Silverstone Road in Vilas, was charged with vandalism. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6.

Oct. 4

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 214 Thompson Hollow Road in Vilas.

ARREST: A male suspect, 47, of 887 Slabtown Road in Zionville, was charged with felony FTA, misdemeanor resisting public officer, trespassing and OFA-FTA. He was held under a $40,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 27.

Oct. 5

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 6610 Old U.S. Highway 421 in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Harassment was reported at 600 Hattie Hill Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 469 Grandfather Road Unit 1 in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 258 Mesa Circle Unit 2 in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 6400 U.S. Highway 421 N. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 336 Harris Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 9244 N.C. Highway 194 N. in Todd.

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 2608 Powder Horn Mountain Road in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 32, of 288 H. Stanley Miller Road in Deep Gap, was charged with felony sex offender on child premises. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Sept. 28

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 256 Windy Drive.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 176 Oakwood Drive.

INCIDENT: Domestic violence was reported at 247 Eli Hartley Drive Apt. 207.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 506 Trice Fork Mtn. Road in Newland, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and DWI. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A female suspect, 65, of 136 Shore Rush Drive in St. Simons Island, was charged with unsafe movement and DWI. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Sept. 29

INCIDENT: Alcohol possession on school property and underage alcohol possession were reported at Watauga High School.

ARREST: A female suspect, 22, of 241 Marich Lane, was charged with DWI. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Sept. 30

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 120 Faculty St.

INCIDENT: Lost/stolen wallet was reported at 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 501 Winklers Creek Road Apt. 103, was charged with failure to appear. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 27.

Oct. 1

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering – forcible entry, larceny and larceny from coin-operated devices were reported at Sunshine Coin Laundry, 1230 State Farm Road.

INCIDENT: Calls for service/suspicious incident were reported at 489 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 179 Howard St.

Oct. 2

ARREST: A female suspect, 19, of 172 Clay Hodges Road Apt. 1, was charged with possession of spirituous liquor under 21 and consuming alcohol by a 19-year-old. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A female suspect, 23, of 3980 Black Oak Road in Hickory, was charged with DWI. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 25.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 386 Southridge Road in Banner Elk, was charged with assault on a female and communicating threats. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Oct. 3

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at Klondike Café, 441 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Injury to personal property, resisting public officer and consuming alcohol by a 20-year-old at 267 New Market Centre.

INCIDENT: Death investigation was reported at 105 Assembly Drive Apt. 16.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 5002 Bright Road in Charlotte, was charged with underage consumption of alcohol. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 272 Clint Norris Road, was charged with injury to personal property, consuming alcohol by a 20-year-old and resisting public officer. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, was charged with larceny. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A female suspect, 24, of 158 Henderson Gap Road #1 in Blowing Rock, was charged with insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense. She was held under a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

Oct. 4

INCIDENT: Fighting (affray) was reported at 970 Rivers St.

INCIDENT: Criminal damage to property was reported at 148 Blairmont Drive.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 1220 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 619 Grand Blvd.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 6105 Highview Road in Matthews, was charged with driving the wrong way on a one-way street, failure to burn headlights and DWI. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 3114 Airlie St. in Charlotte, was charged with breaking and entering. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 228 Hope Crossing Drive in Lexington, was charged with DWI and lane control. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, was charged with simple assault. He was held under a $500 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 4.
