Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, July 1 – 13

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

July 1

INCIDENT: Larceny from buildings was reported at 458 White Oak Road in Boone after tenants removed a wood stove when evicted from property.

July 8

INCIDENT: Larceny of auto parts and accessories and vandalism were reported at 2542 Forest Grove Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Larceny of auto parts and accessories was reported at 2366 Ridge Road in Boone.

July 9

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering, felonious larceny and injury to real property were reported at 779 Ball Branch Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 793 New River Hills in Boone after a victim was found lying in the road.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats was reported at 275 Alderly Circle in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 1196 Teaberry Hills in Boone.

INCIDENT: Burglary and larceny were reported at 430 New River Heights Drive in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 2366 Ridge Road in Boone, was charged with larceny and possession of stolen property. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 180 Parkwood Circle in Boone, was charged with felony sexual exploitation of a minor. He was held under an $80,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 17.

July 10

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at the intersection of Bamboo Road and U.S. Highway 421 S. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 295 Parkway Village Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 597 Isaacs Branch Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 615 Fallview Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 177 Booker St. in Mount Airy after a commercial rental truck was not returned.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 127 Patton Lane in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 308 Calvin Goodman Road in West Jefferson, was charged with DWI alcohol and/or drugs and equipment violation/headlight. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A female suspect, 19, of 1469 W. King St. in Boone, was charged with communicating threats and making harassing phone calls. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 4541 Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under an $858 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.

July 11

INCIDENT: Vandalism to a vehicle was reported at the Cove Creek Music Festival in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 156 Banner Mobile Park in Vilas

INCIDENT: Fraud – impersonation was reported at 228 Lonnie Henson Road in Vilas.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 354 Roxanna St. in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 258 Elk Lane in Deep Gap, was charged with injury to personal property. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 12

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault and vandalism were reported at 1535 Old U.S. Highway 421 S. in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 338 Brook Hollow Road, was charged with simple physical assault. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 13

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 126 Keowee Camp Lane in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 585 Lake Ridge Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 144 Ridge Point Drive in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 607A Jason Place SW in Lenoir, was charged with felony motor vehicle theft, possessing/concealing stolen property and misdemeanor vandalism. He was held under a $27,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31.

July 6

INCIDENT: Drug overdose was reported at 229 E. King St. Apt. 52.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 862 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 773 Greenway Road.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats and simple physical assault were reported at 338 Brook Hollow Road.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 259 Furman Road #117.

INCIDENT: Counterfeiting was reported at McDonald’s, 896 Blowing Rock Road.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Mellow Mushroom, 805 W. King St.

INCIDENT; Fraud was reported at the State Employees Credit Union, 410 New Market Centre.

July 7

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Kangaroo Express, 1996 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A female suspect, 22, of 2989 Tyne Castle Highway in Banner Elk, was charged with simple assault. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, was charged with resist/delay/obstruct. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 8

ARREST: A female suspect, 22, of 440 Oak St., was charged with simple assault. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A female suspect, 30, of 5815 S. N.C. Highway 197 in Banner Elk, was charged with possession of a controlled substance within a jail or prison. She was held under a $3,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of 224 Yosef Drive Apt. F, was charged with larceny – shoplifting. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 58, of 1155 Waughtown St. in Winston Salem, was charged with second degree trespassing. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

July 9

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Wilco Hess, 1033 E. King St.

INCIDENT: Failure to report new address of a sex offender, misdemeanor larceny and second degree trespassing were reported at 267 New Market Centre.

ARREST: A male suspect, 40, was charged with misdemeanor larceny, second degree trespassing and failure to report new address of a sex offender. He was held under a $51,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 10

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1145 Reynolds Price Drive in Kernersville, was charged with maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substance, sell/deliver marijuana and possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 40, was charged with trespassing. She was held under a $300 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A female suspect, 47, of 427 Hawks Nest Drive, was charged with fraud, larceny, red light violation and giving fictitious information to an officer. She was held under a $5,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 11

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Phils Citgo, 168 Hardin St.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a motor vehicle was reported at 146 East Ridge Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 164 Charlotte Ann Lane E8, was charged with larceny. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A female suspect, 16, of 582 Clint Norris Road, was charged with providing fictitious information to an officer. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 241 Marich Lane Apt. 101, was charged with failure to appear and drunk and disruptive. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 5 and Aug. 21.

July 12

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at Chipotle, 1787 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A female suspect, 33, of 4945 Bradpointe Lane in Virginia Beach, was charged with child abuse.
