Four Males Arrested in Prostitution Sting

June 16, 2014. Four men have been arrested and charged by Boone Police with misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution.  These arrests came as a result of a sting operation targeting the commercial sex trade utilizing local hotels.

On June 12, 2014, Boone Police utilized online advertisements offering prostitution services.  In response to these advertisements, the four men were arrested after meeting an undercover police officer and agreeing to pay money in exchange for sexual services.

The arrestees were:

W/M, 42 years-of-age

Sugar Grove, NC

Tamer Said Salem

A/M, 40 years-of-age

Winston-Salem, NC

Benjamin James Bell Wieland

W/W, 27 years-of-age

Fleetwood, NC

Todd Vincent Williams

B/M, 47 years-of-age

Boone, NC

Each of the arrestees was assigned a $750 secured bond pending an August 1, 2014, appearance in Watauga County District Court.

The Boone Police Department was assisted by the Lenoir Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation during this operation.
