Boone Man Arrested in Connection with Over Two Pounds of Marijuana and Adderall, Valued at $12,500

July 19, 2012. On Tuesday July 17, 2012, officers with the Boone Police Department Narcotics Division served an arrest warrant on an individual named Zachary Cowell. This arrest warrant is the conclusion of a particular investigation into the sale of marijuana and prescription medications within the Town of Boone. During this investigation, narcotics officers conducted a search of Cowell’s residence. During this search officers located and seized (2.29) pounds of marijuana and (29) dosage units of the prescription medication Adderall. These drugs have an approximate street value of $12,500. 

The person listed below was arrested and charged with the listed crimes: 

Zachary Deveny Cowell                                                   

  Born: March 5, 1992                                               

  286 Sunset Street,                                       

  Boone, NC 28607                                     

Cowell was charged with one count of each of the following: 

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Sell & Deliver Marijuana.
  • Misdemeanor  Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Adderall.
  • Misdemeanor  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
