“I have people tell me that the blueberry white chocolate oatmeal cookie is the best thing that they have ever put in their mouths,” said Dave  Holloman, owner and founder of Appalachia Cookie Company.

“It was one of the very first cookies that we made when we first started out, and it has always been really popular.”

The honor comes as no shock to many who already enjoy creations from Appalachia Cookie Company. Since opening only nine months ago, the company has enjoyed a passionate set of fans comprised of students, locals and visitors alike. In less than a year, Appalachia Cookie Company has become the go-to for late night snacks, cookie catering, nationwide cookie delivery and more.

Appalachia Cookie Company has become a confectionary force to be reckoned with. Featuring cookie delivery that lasts until the wee hours, speedy pick up and made-to-order treats, the cookie company has become a favorite with late night noshers of all kinds.

“It is just amazing and we are so honored,” Holloman said. “We have only been in business for a few months, and we were up against companies that are really well established. To receive this kind of honor when we are so new is unbelievable.”

With this new nation-wide exposure, Holloman hopes that the company can now expand its cookie shipping services further, shipping cookies all cross the country for people who want just a taste of what Appalachia Cookie Company is now nationally famous for.

“The national recognition is really going to help with our shipping side,” Holloman said. “We started shipping around Nov. 1, and we are trying to use this exposure as a catalyst to help us get our cookies further out there.”
