Clayton L. Young

Clayton L. “C.L.” Young, D. May 6, 2012
Clayton L. Young (C.L.), age 79 , of Minneapolis passed away on Sunday May 6, 2012 at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born may 21, 1932 a son of the late Fred and Susie F. Young of Minneapolis NC.
A loving Father and Paw-Paw, C.L. enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family after he retired from NCDOC.
Along with his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by his daughter, Toni Young Vess.
He is survived by his; wife, Patricia Troutman Young; daughter, Deelea Young Hollifield and husband Joe Hollifield; granddaughters, Kaylee Hollifield and Mollie Vess; grandson, Clayton Vess.
Funeral services for Clayton Young will be conducted on Wednesday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Minneapolis Methodist Church with Rev. Preston Thomas and Rev. David Hobson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be Thursday, May 10th 11:00 a.m. in the Minneapolis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Minneapolis Methodist Church.

John Hayden Eller, D. May 6, 2012
John Hayden Eller,Sr., age 89, of Elk Park passed away on Sunday May 6, 2012 at his residence.
A native of Avery County, he was born June 11, 1922 a son of the late Oscar Lawson and Macie Holtsclaw Eller.
He was a member of Heaton Christian Church and had served in the United States Navy.
Hayden retired from the North Carolina Dept. of Transportation where he was a heavy equipment operator.
He enjoyed horses and cattle farming, was an avid Braves fan, a life long republican and was a wonderful friend and neighbor who was always ready to help. He made a deep impact and will be deeply missed.
Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his: first wife, Clara O. Eller; son, John Hayden Eller, Jr.; grandchildren, Bruce J. Mozuch, Jr. and Tabetha Grindstaff.
Hayden has left to cherish his memory: his wife, Elizabeth Ann Eller of the home; children, Linda Jones and husband Durl of Newland, NC., Gail E. Mozuch of Elk Park, NC., Don L. Grindstaff and wife Sandy of Elizabethton, TN., Tabitha C. Eller of Newland, NC; grandchildren, Robin G. Bowers and husband James of Roan Mountain, TN., Roger Gwyn of Elk Park, NC., Derrick S. Gwyn and wife Michelle of Greeneville, TN., Durl Jones, Jr. and wife Jaime of Bejing, China., Amanda E. Mozuch of West Newtanton, PA., Adam Grindstaff and wife Stephanie of Kingsport, TN., Johnny “Hayden” Eller of Newland, NC; Denise Jones of Newland, NC; 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Hayden Eller will be conducted on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Heaton Christian Church with Pastors Jason Simpkins and Roy Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in the Heaton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital at 604 Doug Mayers Place Charlotte, NC 28262.
