Kickoff Time Announced for Home Opener vs. ODU, September 10, on American Sports Network

white outBOONE, N.C. — With the new partnership announced on Wednesday between American Sports Network and the Sun Belt, Appalachian State University Football’s Sept. 10 whiteout against Old Dominion will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. inside Kidd Brewer Stadium on ASN.

The game against ODU will be the first whiteout in school history, as the team unveiled its new white jerseys last week for the contest. Fans are highly encouraged to wear white to “whiteout” the stadium.

In addition, the 2016 Hall of Fame class of Kerry Brown (2004-07), Julian Rauch (2004-07), baseball star Randy Ingram (1975-78), wrestling letterwinner and head coach Paul Mance (student-athlete – 1966-69; head coach – 1976-2009), cheerleader Lori Ransome Harper (1985-89) and longtime “Voice of the Mountaineers” David Jackson will be on hand for the 42nd Hall of Fame induction.

While games on ASN will be broadcasts on “over-the- air” and cable affiliates, they will also be available without blackout restrictions on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.The partnership, made possible through a sublicense agreement with ESPN, allows for a minimum of eight football games and a minimum of 10 basketball games from the Sun Belt to be aired through ASN.
