Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Aug. 31 – Sept. 7

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Aug. 31

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 122 Doc Byrd Road in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Aggravated assault was reported at 2279 Silverstone Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Larceny and breaking and entering were reported at 318 Cara Lane in Boone.

 

Sept. 1

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported on Mountain Dale Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 244 Cross Creek Trail in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 117 Panoramic Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported when a lost dog was found.

ARREST: A female suspect, 62, of 510 Skyview St. in Deep Gap, was charged with assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats. She was held under a $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 1.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 337 Vannoy Lane in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 22.

 

Sept. 2

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 184 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and communicating threats were reported at 727 Dutch Creek Road in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 374 Cezanne Drive in Blowing Rock.

ARREST: A male suspect, 39, of 1653 N.C. Highway 194 in Boone, was charged with failure to appear. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 28.

 

Sept. 3

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 719 Charlie Thompson Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Trespassing was reported at 206 Martin Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1660 Elk Creek Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported when a person found a wallet in the roadway.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 2006 U.S. Highway 421 N. Apt. 6 in Boone, was charged with felony parole and probation violations. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 12.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of Boone, was charged with all other offenses. He was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

 

Sept. 4

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 903 Forest Grove Road in Vilas.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, of 556 Mabel School Road in Zionville, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, PWIMSD methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 5.

ARREST: A female suspect, 38, of 147 Roberts Drive in Boone, was charged with felony financial card theft and misdemeanor financial card fraud. She was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

 

Sept. 5

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle theft (recreation vehicle) was reported at 12892 U.S. Highway 421 S. in Deep Gap.

 

Sept. 6

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 139 Patton Lane in Boone.

 

Sept. 7

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at Benjamin Drive and Roby Greene Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 20, of 583 Clint Norris Road in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 5.
