Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, July 13 – 20

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

July 13

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 444 Roby Green Road.

July 14

INCIDENT: Vandalism, larceny and breaking and entering were reported at 520 Fallview Lane Unit 1.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 2065 Beaver Dam Road in Vilas.

July 15

INCIDENT: Larceny and vandalism were reported at 266 Bamboo Road.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 299 Frank Hodges Drive in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 2427 Sampson Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 19, of Corby Court in Boone, was charged with felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 16

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 799 Forestridge Drive.

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 972 Lawrence Greene Road in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 186 Appalachian Drive, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 29.

July 17

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at 1251 Brookshire Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny from buildings were reported at 2524 Rominger Road in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 484 Kellersville Road in Banner Elk.

ARREST: A female suspect, 24, of 190 Sable Drive Apt. 3 in Boone, was charged with felony parole and two counts of contempt of court/perjury/court violations. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.

ARREST: A female suspect, 56, of 155 Culps Drive in Boone, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 28, of 1251 Brookshire Road in Boone, was charged with simple assault. He was scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

July 18

INCIDENT: Custodial dispute was reported at 232 Bluebird Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Recovered stolen property was reported on Old U.S. Highway 421 at James Parsons Road in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny from buildings was reported at 5212 Beaver Dam Road in Vilas.

ARREST: A female suspect, 38, of 400 Sugar Hollow Road in Butler, was charged with OFA. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 24.

July 19

INCIDENT: Injury to personal property was reported at 615 Fallview Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 292 Jones Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Burglary and interfering with 911 communications were reported at 295 Orchard Creek Road in Deep Gap.

ARREST: A male suspect, 41, of 325 U.S. Highway 321 in Sugar Grove, was charged with OFA failure to pay. He was held under a $2,060 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 27.

July 20

INCIDENT: Resisting a public officer was reported at 217-1 Hodges Valley Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering, larceny and vandalism were reported at 683 Hawk Ridge in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny from buildings were reported at 583 Silverleaf Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Larceny and fraud were reported at 924 Briarwood Lane in Boone.

ARREST: A female suspect, 52, of 217-1 Hodges Valley Road in Boone, was charged with resisting a public officer. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 13

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1469 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Failure to return rental property was reported at Enterprise, 1435 N.C. Highway 105

INCIDENT: Indecent liberties with a child, sexual exploitation of a minor and solicit children by computer were reported at 1500 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 2641 Sink Valley Road in Butler, was charged with fraud. He was held under a $7,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 60, of 2905 Stone Gap Court in Raleigh, was charged with indecent liberties with a child, sexual exploitation of a minor and solicit child by computer. He was held under a $200,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 50, of 275 East King St. Apt. 10, was charged with probation violation. He was held under a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 14.

ARREST: A female suspect, 36, was charged with larceny, assault with a deadly weapon and trespassing. She was held under a $1,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 14

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Wilco Hess, 1033 E. King St.

INCIDENT: Drunk and disruptive behavior was reported at 805 W. King St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 49, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with larceny. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 64, of 400 Farthing St., was charged with trespassing. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25.

ARREST: A female suspect, 27, of 521 Meadowview Drive Apt. 108A, was charged with driving while license revoked.

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, was charged with drunk and disruptive. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 15

INCIDENT: Lost property was reported at 134 Horn in the West Drive.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 446 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Communicating threats and injury to personal property were reported at East Village Apartments, 239 Marich Lane.

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 359 Old E. King St. Apt. 308, was charged with injury to personal property and communicating threats. She’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 36, of N.C. Highway 194, was charged with driving while license revoked. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 1653 N.C. Highway 194 in Boone, was charged with misdemeanor probation violation and larceny. He was held under a $20,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 16

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1469 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 289 Ambling Way #114.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 359 Old E. King St. #114

INCIDENT: Assault was reported at 451 Yosef Drive Apt. Y

ARREST: A male suspect, 53, was charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 17

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 1148 N.C. Highway 105

INCIDENT: Criminal damage to property was reported at Terrance Park Apartments, 165 Pine St.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 106 Bogue Sounds Drive in Newport, was charged with stop sign violation and driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 18

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault with sexual motive was reported at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living, 287 Bamboo Road.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 228 Chase Hill Drive.

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 275 E. King St. #4, was charged with probation violation. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A female suspect, 23, of 1144 U.S. Highway 321 in Hampton, was charged with physical assault and aggravated assault. She was held under a $26,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

July 19

INCIDENT: Driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and methamphetamine were reported at 100 Denmac Drive and Brook Hollow Road.

INCIDENT: Burglary and vandalism were reported at 219 Crossing Way Apt. 305

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 12119 Kane Alexander Drive in Huntersville, was charged with following too closely and driving while impaired. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 29.

ARREST: A female suspect, 40, was charged with second degree trespassing. She was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 338 Brook Hollow Road, was charged with probation violation. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 19.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 128 Kerley Drive in Boone, was charged with driving while license revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia, a schedule VI controlled substance and methamphetamine. He was held under a $4,000 secured bond and was scheduled to appear in court on July 19.
