Since 1995, the Kruger Brothers have enjoyed a steady rise in popularity, not just in the North Carolina area but throughout the world. The band has tour dates this year in Canada, Switzerland and throughout the United States, but they will still make time in their busy touring schedules to help out a good cause in the High Country.

“We’re really honored that they are going to continue to help us out,” said Melissa Selby, Executive Director of the Clinic.

“They believe in the mission of the clinic.

The Community Care Clinic was first established in 2006. Over the years, the clinic has provided low-cost healthcare to thousands of low-income patients who are unable to afford health insurance in Watauga County and the surrounding areas.

The Community Care Clinic offers services in areas such as mental health, gynecology, neurology, chiropractic treatments, physical therapy, orthopedics, dental care, vision care and dermatology.

Most patients have chronic illnesses and have to return to the clinic throughout the year. While there is a suggested donation for the clinic’s services, no payment is required. More than 100 people currently volunteer at the clinic, but they are always looking for more. Interested volunteers may contact the Community Care Clinic here.
