Arthur C. Bailey, 93, of Louisville passed away peacefully on July 28, 2014, at the home of his grandson Kurt Murrey. Born August 4, 1920, in Frank, NC, to Dover and Jenny Bailey.

He proudly served his country in the United Sates Army during WWII earning a rank of Staff Sergeant with honorable discharge. He was employed at the Ford Motor Company Local 542 for 39 years, 8 months as an upset operator. He was a member of the First Church of the Resurrection in Canton.

Proceeded in death by his wife Hestella, eight siblings, and a great-grand daughter Ashlie S. Murrey.

He is survived by one daughter, Peggy Murrey, three grandsons Ronald, Keith ( Kimberly), and Kurt, all of Massillon, two great grandson’s Mason and his fiancee Caroline Luna of Columbus, Ohio, and Marc of Massillon. His loving companion Bernice Garner of Louisville, Ohio. Sister Jennie Mathis of North Carolina, brother Grover Bailey of North Carolina.

Homegoing services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Beech Bottom Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Mike Mathis officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour Saturday at the church.

Final resting place Bailey Family Cemetery, Beech Bottom, North Carolina.

Olin Jeremiah Brinkley (June 7, 1980 – July 23, 2014)

Olin Jeremiah Brinkley, 34, of Elk Park passed away on July 23, 2014 at Charles A.Cannon Memorial Hospital .

A native of Avery County, he was born June 7, 1980 the son of Tim and Myra Boruff Brinkley of Elk Park.

He was a member of Elk Park Methodist Church where he prepared the pulpit for Sunday Services and collected tithes.

Olin volunteered for 19 years in the Avery Middle School Cafeteria and Newland Elementary School.

He enjoyed playing golf, NASCAR, NHRA Drag Racing, bowling on WII, watching Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud and Barney.

Olin had such a tremendous impact on the lives of the countless people he came into contact with. His parents are eternally grateful for the love and support of those that were such a blessing to Olin.

Olin was preceded in death by his: paternal grandfather, Robert L. Brinkley and his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Melba Boruff.

Along with his parents, Olin has left to cherish his memory his: paternal grandmother, Celeste Brinkley of Elk Park; aunt, Linda Harrison of Arnold, MD; great uncle, Jack Atkins; great aunt, Kat Bowman; a host of cousins and extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Olin Brinkley will be conducted on Sunday, July 27th at 3:00 p.m. at the Elk Park Methodist Church with Rev. Preston Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends following the services.
